Medium boilerplate (60 words)
Recipe Calculator is a nutrition tool built for food businesses — not individuals. It lets restaurants, cloud kitchens, meal-prep services, and nutritionists turn any recipe into accurate per-serving macros (carbs, protein, fat, fiber, calories) in under a minute. It supports per-ingredient unit conversion, live calculation as you edit, and PDF export for menus and labels.
Long boilerplate (140 words)
Recipe Calculator is a web-based nutrition calculator built for food businesses that cook in quantity. Anyone who runs a restaurant, cloud kitchen, meal-prep service, clinical kitchen, or who works as a nutritionist or dietitian knows the same problem: manually calculating per-serving macros is slow, error-prone, and painful. Recipe Calculator turns that into a 60-second task. Add ingredients with per-gram macros, set your batch size and serving size, and the tool computes carbs, protein, fat, fiber, and calories per serving — live, as you edit. It handles per-ingredient unit conversion (1 cup of rice ≠ 1 cup of water), exports clean PDF nutrition cards, and can be self-hosted on your own server or used as a hosted SaaS subscription. Two plans available: one-time Single-Site Script or monthly SaaS subscription from ৳1,000.
The problem we solve
- Manual calculation is slow. A 12-ingredient recipe takes 20–40 minutes in a spreadsheet.
- Unit conversion is error-prone. 1 cup of water = 240 g, 1 cup of rice = 158 g, 1 cup of honey = 340 g.
- Nutrition databases disagree. Different sources give different numbers.
- Menu labeling is increasingly mandatory. Businesses need accurate numbers fast.
- Diet-focused customers demand macros. Businesses that answer fast win them.
Key features
- Ingredient library with per-gram macros (carbs, protein, fat, fiber)
- Per-ingredient unit conversion (g, ml, cup, tbsp, tsp, piece, serving)
- Live per-serving preview as you edit
- Batch size + serving size calculation
- PDF export and print (100% client-side, no server storage)
- Admin + user roles with complete data isolation
- Two licensing modes: Self-hosted (single purchase) or hosted SaaS (subscription)

Long bio (100 words)
Nutritionist Tasnima Haque is the founder and Director of Recipe Calculator, a nutrition calculator built for food businesses that cook in quantity. Before building Recipe Calculator, she spent 10 years working with nutrition sector, where the same problem kept appearing: restaurants and meal-prep kitchens had no fast, accurate way to calculate per-serving nutrition. Existing tools were designed for individuals tracking their own meals — not for businesses publishing nutrition to customers. Recipe Calculator closes that gap. It's now available both as a self-hosted script and as a SaaS subscription.
